I have known Mitch Thrower for one and a half years, and I have found him to be one of the most outstanding members of his class. Mitch has been very active as a Greek organization member, a Resident Advisor, a member of Forensics Society, and a residence hall council member.

Mitch is known by his peers as well as the rest of the University Community as an articulate and thoughtful student. His views and opinions are respected by students and also by the administrative staff. This is probably due to his high level of responsibility and his keen ability to accurately assess situations and respond appropriately. Mitch's natural leadership abilities and his impressive speaking talent are assets to every groups in which he is active.

Perhaps some of Mitch's biggest achievements at St. Lawrence have been in the area of programming. Specifically, Mitch lived in an all-freshmen residence last year wherein small room parties comprised a large part of the social life. With Mitch's leadership, the hall sponsored several programs aimed at increasing hall unity and decreasing an overemphasis on alcohol use. one program in particular, the Sadie Hawkins Dance, was a huge success and set the tone for programming in Whitman Hall. The program's success was directly attributable to Mitch's creativity and tireless effort.

After working closely with Mitch for the past year and a half, I am confident when I state that he is very responsible and dependable individual. Mitch has a high energy level and uses this motivation constantly on projects and programs.
